The Trademarks Department at the Ministry of Economy in the UAE has vowed to improve its service and make it more efficient, transparent, and affordable and has succeeded in all of the above. In order to maintain traction, the trademark office announced on the 15th of June 2021 that the Official Gazette would be published bi-monthly (every two weeks) in order to expedite the trademark registration process.
The timeframe to oppose a trademark registration remains 30 days for anyone interested in filing an opposition.
